Celebration Choir
The backbone of our Music Ministry is the Celebration Choir, which leads in worship each Sunday morning. Anthems vary in style and include traditional, contemporary, gospel and classical genres. This choir is also involved in special programs during the year, including The Living Christmas Tree, other seasonal cantatas, music festivals, and workshops.
Membership in the Celebration Choir is open to any adult. We do not think of this choir as a volunteer choir but as a called choir, which is dedicated and answerable to God in terms of attendance and commitment.
Childcare is provided during all regular and special rehearsals.

Children’s Music (iSing)
Sunday, 5-6:30 PM
Our graded choirs seek to be age appropriate at every level. We recognize the graded choir ministry as a process that encourages children to develop their talents and abilities and to use them in praising and serving God.
Preschool Ensemble (ages 3 through kindergarten)
The preschool ensemble is where a foundation for a love of music and singing is established.
Elementary Ensemble (grades 1-5)
The Elementary Ensemble is split into two tracks, one being a focused choir time where they learn proper singing techniques and how to play Orff instruments. The latter part of the class is spent in a handbell track learning how to read music and correct ringing technique.

Youth Music (YMCA)
Sunday, 5-6:30 PM
The Youth Ensemble anchors YMCA (Youth Music & Creative Arts) and is open to all students from the 6th to 12th grades. They sing for worship services each semester, as well as special musical presentations throughout the year. We also offer other “elective tracks” like drama, worship team, etc. The Music Ministry is dedicated to keeping teenagers singing and active in creative arts during their middle and high school years. Not only does this help strengthen their walk with the Lord, but it also prepares them to creatively share their faith, and have a witness for Christ in today’s culture.

Senior Adult Choir
Monday, 10-11 AM
The Senior Adult Choir is a daytime ministry choir which primarily ministers outside the walls of the church. We sing familiar gospel songs, hymn settings, as well as other arrangements of uplifting music. There is a time of fellowship in our rehearsals. Each month during the fall and spring seasons, the choir travels to assisted living facilities, full-care nursing homes, specialized care units, as well as independent living communities. The choir also combines with the Celebration Choir for select Sunday morning worship services. If you are looking for a meaningful opportunity to share the message of the Gospel, then this is the ensemble for you. All adults age 60+ are invited to consider serving in this ministry.

Praise Team
Wednesday, 5:30-6 PM
The Praise Team is an auditioned ensemble that facilitates congregational singing in our corporate worship gatherings. Connection Worship, our midweek service, is the main service where the Praise Team leads in worship. The Praise Team is also utilized during the 9 AM Sunday morning worship service.

Instrumental Ensemble
Sunday, 8:15-8:45 AM
We are blessed at First Baptist to have gifted instrumentalists. Our Instrumental Ensemble leads in worship each Sunday morning. Membership in this ensemble is open to high school students and adults, and positions are available in all sections (woodwinds, brass, strings, rhythm and percussion).

Adult Handbell Ensemble
Wednesday, 4:30-5:15 PM
If you enjoy handbell music and fellowship, then plan to attend a rehearsal! First Baptist owns a five octave set of English handbells, manufactured by Schulmerich. The ensemble leads in worship periodically during the fall, winter and spring months. We are currently looking for volunteers to fill open positions, as well as substitute ringers, who wish to be called on when needed. Ability to read music is necessary and previous handbell experience is preferred.
