Welcome to FBCJackson!
First Baptist Church Jackson, TN, is a great church filled with great people who love the Lord and one another. We believe that Jesus has given us a clear mission to share His love with all people. To do this, we are committed to connecting people to Christ through worship, the word, and a worldwide witness.
Our primary worship service happens on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. We ask all of our members to make this worship time a top priority in their walk with Christ. To love the Lord your God is a command to worship, the first 4 of the 10 Commandments are about worship, and God asks us to have a Sabbath rest in order to connect to Christ in worship. We also offer a mid-week worship service called “Connection” on Wednesdays at 6 p.m.
If you’re looking for a group of committed Christian friends, we invite you to join a Sunday morning Bible study group. We have trained our Sunday School teachers to offer expository message that are applicable to real-life circumstances. These classes meet at 10:30 a.m. for all ages. Sunday night at FBC University is an intense time of discipleship for those who want to dig deeper in their desire to be conformed to the image of Christ. We offer classes for men, women, mixed, and also a systematic theology class.
But here’s the biggest challenge for every member of First Baptist. We believe a call to discipleship is a call to share Christ through a worldwide witness. Every member is asked to get plugged-in to meeting needs in the name of Christ so that we can share the good news of Christ with others. Even our Bible study classes work together on community projects designed to meet needs in the name of Jesus.
That’s a brief overview of FBCJackson. But let me share one more thing: from the moment you walk onto our campus, you will feel the love and warmth of a Christian family who cares about you. I am amazed at the way our members easily accept and befriend all those God sends our way.
